From overcast, to rain, to bright sunlight three times in as many hours—the day in which we shot the above editorial was typical of this time of year in Thailand, which can pose certain difficulties when deciding what to wear. But while the rains may bring with them a hot, sticky humidity that makes the smallest of tasks feel exhausting, they also make the green landscape of Bangkok’s parks more verdant than ever. For men, it’s a time of year for casual shorts, airy shirts and chinos, while girls can make the most of light summer dresses and silky blouses that let their skin breathe. And with advancements in materials like waterproof suede, items that have previously been resigned to the driest of days can now be worn with confidence.
